Les Errances Kinhoyé 2021 is a unique, playful red wine from the Loire Valley, where Warren and Maïté Perrocheau have artfully blended Grolleau Gris, Gamay, and Chenin Blanc grown on dark slate soils. The name "Kinhoyé", meaning "celebration" in the Lingala language, perfectly captures this wine's joyful character. Their innovative winemaking approach involves the direct pressing of Gamay and some Grolleau like a rosé for juiciness. At the same time, the remaining Grolleau and Chenin Blanc undergo extended skin contact for added complexity. The result is a light-hued, vibrant wine that offers fresh strawberry and rhubarb notes intertwined with lime peel and orange blossom aromas. The palate is delicate yet refreshing, with a remarkable drinkability. True to Les Errances' low intervention philosophy, the wine is unfiltered and bottled without added sulfur. A celebratory pour that's perfect when served slightly chilled, ideal for warm afternoons and casual gatherings.
