Nittnaus is a name that most Austrian wine lovers will recognize, with winemakers such as Claus Preisinger and Jutta Ambrositsch having been taught by Hans Nittnaus. However, over the last few years his sons Andi and Martin have been taking over production. Manila is their entry-level line, and this one is bright, with fresh acidity and a lot of texture on the palate. Herby and citrusy on the nose, the palate has fine tannins thanks to seven days on the skin.
