A 1 litre orange wine was added to the menu by Milan Nestarec as the amber sibling of Bel, Nach, and Ruz. In keeping with the philosophy of his other 1L bottles, Okr is very approachable and has an everyday vibe. Milan wants to make a fine "normal" skin contact wine with tremendous energy, distinctive aromatics, and just a hint of the "orangey" character; you won't find extensive maceration or heavy tannins in Okr. From his numerous vineyards in Moravsk ikov and Velké Blovice, Okr is a blend of Chardonnay, Gruner Veltliner, Sauvignon, and just a touch of Traminer. Fermented generally as whole berries for 5 to 7 days, depending on the variety, without stomping and just moderate punch-downs. All of this was done to ensure a gentle extraction and maximise the wine's flavour and drinkability (talking big gulps here). Okr is filled with notes of peach, pineapple and citrus akin to what you’d find in a lemon tart.
