Crafted from 90% Nero d’Avola and a touch of Nerello Mascalese, this rosé is a vibrant expression of Alessandro Viola’s organic vineyards in the Trapani region of Sicily. The Nero d’Avola is sourced from the valley near Santa Ninfa, while the Nerello comes from Alcamo, both picked early to preserve their natural zip. To maintain maximum freshness, the grapes are directly pressed and fermented with indigenous yeasts in stainless steel tanks. Following Alessandro’s non-interventionist philosophy, the wine is bottled unfiltered and unfined with minimal added sulphur, resulting in a pure, high-energy wine that is the definition of "smashable."

The wine presents a light ruby colour and a bright, aromatic nose featuring candied red cherry, raspberry, and pomegranate, accented by notes of blood orange and peppery herbs. On the palate, it is zesty and light-to-medium-bodied, driven by a refreshing medium-plus acidity and flavours of acidulated red fruits. The finish is vibrant and fresh, with lingering notes of red plum. This is a quintessential spring and summer wine, pairing perfectly with everything from grilled seafood and Italian caponata to light pasta dishes and antipasto.
