Bérêche & Fils' Brut Réserve is a superb expression of the domaine's terroirs, based on the 2022 vintage with 35% reserve wines from the previous two vintages. The blend reflects roughly equal parts of the three major Champagne varieties, with initial ageing done 70% in cask and 30% in tank before spending time on lees. The complex terroir composition brings richness and flavour from the Vallée de la Marne alongside refinement and chalkiness from the Montagne de Reims. What emerges is all finesse and class – dense, clear-cut fruit with cranberry, mint, white pepper, slate, and dried flowers, plus aromas of biscuit and brioche. The palate shows good texture and vinosity with a consistent, polished mouthfeel and creamy bubbles, finishing with that distinctive chalk presence – delicately saline, long, and flavourful. Disgorged June 2025 with a dosage of 5.5g/l, this demonstrates harmony, verve, and serious winemaking skill from one of Champagne's most innovative producers.
