Is it a rosé? Is it red? Christian Tschida's mysterious Birdscape Pink Maceration dances between both worlds - and that's exactly the point. This captivating field blend from the ancient Leithaberg comes from a mixed plot with over 20 different varietals, predominantly Blaufränkisch, creating something truly unique.
The colour's brick-red brilliance hints at its complexity - raspberry pulp, pomegranate, and blackcurrant meet smoky flint and spicy black pepper. There's a lovely savoury edge with fine tannins that give it proper red wine structure, whilst keeping that rosé-like freshness. Serve it chilled and prepare to be addicted!
Made using Christian's secret "Pink Maceration Method" - hand-harvested grapes from 60-year-old vines, weeks of gentle maceration, then aged in large oak barrels. No sulphur, fining, or filtering - just pure expression of that legendary limestone and slate terroir.
