Crafted by Jules and Didier Grappe in the Jura region, Pif Purple is a unique low-intervention red wine made entirely from hybrid grapes. It features a co-fermentation of the white Seyve Villard grape alongside the red Léon Millot and Plantet varieties, which Didier champions because they resist disease naturally without the need for chemical sprays. The whole bunches are lightly crushed and macerated for two weeks, then pressed into stainless steel tanks to age for nine months before being bottled without any additives.

The Léon Millot grape gives the wine a striking, vivid purple colour, yet the pour remains light and translucent, mimicking the ethereal, exotic style of traditional Jura reds like Trousseau or Poulsard. At a very light 10% ABV, it delivers bright aromas of blueberry, watermelon, and blackcurrant liquorice, followed by a juicy palate of ripe summer strawberry, spiced red apple, and fine, powdery tannins. It is a wonderfully fluid, refreshing red that is best served chilled for maximum drinkability.
