Argile Blanc embodies the heroic viticulture of Savoie, blending indigenous Jacquère and Mondeuse Blanche from 40-year-old vines planted at 450m altitude on schist-based hillsides with Chardonnay. 15% 80-year-old Jacquère from Apremont, grown on limestone scree, complements the core blend. Then, everything spends nine months ageing in fibreglass to preserve its mountain freshness. On the nose, expect fresh white fruit aromas with floral hawthorn notes and that distinct mountain character – hints of alpine herbs and smoky minerality from the slate soils. The palate delivers immediate freshness with balanced structure, showing ripe lemon fruit alongside intense mineral character that's almost saline. It's perfectly balanced between weight and tension, making it ideal with freshwater fish, alpine cheeses, or delicate mushroom dishes.
