This cuvée is a pure expression of Savagnin Vert, sourced from 40-year-old vines in the Cesancey vineyard. Grown at an altitude of 300 metres on southwestern slopes, the vines thrive in white marl soil, which Géraud and Pauline Fromont credit for the wine's characteristic finesse and tension. To develop its layered texture, the grapes are hand-harvested and gently pressed before undergoing fermentation with indigenous yeasts. The wine is then matured for a year in a combination of old foudres and concrete eggs with regular topping up, a process that preserves the grape's natural drive while building significant complexity.

The 2023 vintage is an age-worthy wine defined by a striking acid backbone typical of the Savagnin Vert strain. On the nose, it is spicier than other bottlings from the estate, opening with aromas of almonds, yellow fruit, and fresh mint. The palate is harmonious and full of energy, offering flavours of stewed citrus fruits and subtle bitters that carry through to a long, spicy finish. Elegant and deeply mineral, this is a stunning representation of Jurassic Savagnin that is drinking beautifully now but has the structure to evolve through 2030.
