Domaine de Montbourgeau crafts this classic house white from Chardonnay vines dotted around L’Étoile, with a few interplanted Savagnin vines adding an extra layer of complexity to the blend. Made in the topped-up style to keep the wine fresh and crisp, the juice ferments in stainless steel before resting in small barrels and demi-muids for up to thirty months. A final spell assembling in tank before bottling produces a textbook, beautifully precise picture of the terroir.

Expect a bright aroma of white flowers, citrus, and white fruits, rounded out by a faint hint of hazelnut in the background. The palate is fluid and nicely structured, packed with a racy natural tension that keeps the wine energetic and totally refreshing from start to finish.
