This unique rosé is a tribute to Franz Weninger’s grandmother and reflects a history that spans the Austrian and Hungarian borders. The wine is a trans-border blend of Syrah grown on Hungarian gneiss soils, combined with Austrian Zweigelt, Blaufränkisch, and Pinot Noir. Spontaneously fermented in large used wooden barrels and bottled unfiltered, it presents as a light red or dark rosé with a transparent cherry hue and a delicate natural haze.

The nose is bright and aromatic, featuring notes of strawberry, ripe pomegranate, and redcurrant, accented by pink pepper and a refreshing touch of mint. On the palate, it is multifaceted and balanced, offering a vivacious personality that remains complex yet incredibly easy to drink. Whether enjoyed on a warm summer day or in cooler weather, this is a characterful and expressive wine built for pure enjoyment.
