This bottle marks the first time Jean-Yves Peron has worked with Nebbiolo, and it is a total standout. He sourced organic grapes from his partners in Italy and brought them back to his Savoie cellar to work his magic. The process involves a two-week whole-cluster maceration and three months of punching down the skins, followed by a stint in old barrels.

The result is a red that is broad and grippy with gentle acidity and bright, lifted fruit that really stays with you. It is a brilliant example of what happens when a French alpine winemaker takes on a classic Italian variety.
