Sourced from the stony "Filz" parcel, this Chardonnay is a direct and primal expression of its rocky terroir. The 2023 vintage was fermented and aged in mostly used oak barrels with minimal intervention, then bottled unfiltered. The result is a lean, taut wine that balances a searing acidity with a soft, expansive texture, a hallmark of Dostert’s precise winemaking style.

The nose is a fresh mix of green apple skin, crushed mint, and citrus, rounded out by a subtle hazelnut note and a hint of reduction. On the palate, it begins with zesty fruit before developing a spicy creaminess that gives it a sophisticated, Burgundian feel. This is a remarkably clean and focused Chardonnay that remains vibrant and incredibly drinkable.
