This wine is the 'lightest' and juiciest of La Calmette's two Malbec/Merlot blends. This is a very immediate, attractive, joyful, yet complex expression of Malbec and its terroir. Delicately extracted while still retaining its inky colour. This wine, which is ultimately everything we want from a medium-bodied red —bursts of fruit and spice and pure pleasure—is supported by a wonderful edge of graphite and intense minerality.

Domaine La Calmette was started in 2015 by Maya & Nicolas, a talented couple who bring not only a thorough knowledge of viticulture but also a meticulously researched scientific backbone to their natural wines. Explosive, bursting with life and vibrancy.
