Arco is named after one of Céline and Steve's two donkeys, who help the team navigate the particularly rocky and steep slopes of the 35-year-old vines in Nevy-sur-Seille's lieu-dit La Chaux. This Savagnin from stony marls is a sensational wine that expresses a sharp cut of acidity and vibrant citrus flavours with bitters and an intense mineral, saline impression on the finish. Big perfume on the nose – fino sherry, faint toffee apple, lemon curd, lime, green apple, and aniseed create a huge flavour profile that somehow maintains levity and freshness. The palate is mineral-driven with flavours of quince, tangerine, and almond paste, shaped by crisp, chalky tannins and an electric tang of acidity that's super saline and bright. It's like adult lemonade meets fino sherry – stellar stuff that shows why Savagnin is the hero grape of the Jura and why Les Dolomies' limited production is so cherished by enthusiasts worldwide.
