Bordel C'est Bon – which roughly translates to 'Damn, that's good' (we're keeping it polite here) – is Céline's tribute to her mate Gabi, a cartoonist for Le Monde and Le Canard Enchaîné. The wine absolutely lives up to its cheeky name with Trousseau from Les Combes that's hand-destemmed and vinified without sulphur. After a three-week maceration with spontaneous fermentation and ageing in old Burgundy barrels, what you get is brilliant and translucent (looks more like Poulsard, honestly!) with aromas of small red fruits, citrus zest, violet florals, and warming spice. The palate is juicy and joyful with flowers, kumquat, and wonderfully ethereal tannins – that fresh, snappy character great Trousseau does so well alongside an earthy edge. Super fresh finish with hints of orange blossom and lovely peppery black fruit throughout. This is approachable yet complex stuff, a proper marvel from this cult Jura producer. Gabi would've loved it.
