Vintage: 2023

Grapes: Pinot Noir
Alcohol: 12.5%
The Pinot Noir for this wine comes from a parcel in the village of Comblanchien, right between Nuits-Saint-Georges to the north and Aloxe-Corton to the south – prime real estate that's been looked after with organic and biodynamic principles for a very long time. The vineyard is primarily made up of fairly old vines rooted in typical Jurassic limestone soils. Joachim works with mainly whole cluster vinifications, very gentle extractions, no sulphite additions, and no corrections, fining or filtration – just old wood and basically no sulphur, creating wines that are pure and elegant. The gentle approach lets the fruit and terroir speak clearly without any interference. Joachim's progression as a winemaker since starting in 2017 after leaving finance is absolutely astounding, and his wines are an absolute standout despite the relative youth of his micro-négoce project. We're honoured to bring these on board at such an early stage whilst he's establishing himself amongst Burgundy's impressive young generation of winemakers.
