Marcel Lapierre became a legend in the wine world as a leading member of the "Gang of Four," a group of vignerons who pioneered the back-to-nature movement in Beaujolais. Today, his children Mathieu and Camille carry on this legacy, utilising biodynamic vineyard practices and a meticulous approach in the cellar. To produce a wine without added sulphur, the family monitors microbiological activity under a microscope daily during both fermentation and ageing. Ripe grapes are sorted and cooled before undergoing a semi-carbonic maceration, followed by ten months of maturation in old wooden foudres and barrels sourced from Domaine Prieuré Roch in Burgundy. The bottles marked with an "N" on the back label are the "Nature" cuvées, crafted entirely sans soufre.

This classic Morgon is a serious, age-worthy expression of Gamay that stands apart from simpler Beaujolais styles. It presents a finely sculpted profile with a mid raspberry colour and beautifully pure fruit derived from old vines. The palate is delicately extracted and offers a true, unaltered expression of the grape's character. Known for its depth and elegance, this in-demand wine is a testament to the traditional practices reinstated by Marcel and continued by the next generation. It remains a benchmark for natural winemaking, delivering a long and sophisticated finish that reflects its prestigious heritage.
