Produced in the Roussillon, Rufo is a vibrant orange wine made from a blend of old-vine Macabeu, Muscat, and other local white varieties. Tom Lubbe uses a "Trompette" technique here, combining direct-pressed juice with fruit macerated on the skins for four days. Aged in a mix of cement tanks and old barrels with zero added sulphites, the wine achieves a beautiful balance between wild Mediterranean energy and refined precision.
The nose is lifted and floral, featuring bright notes of orange zest, mandarin, and fresh garden herbs. On the palate, it offers a silky texture with a light, grippy structure and flavours of apricot and citrus peel. It is a refreshing, weightless wine with a dry, mineral finish and a soft bitterness that makes it an ideal choice when served lightly chilled.
