Melsheimer Reiler Mullay-Hofberg Trocken
Vintage: 2020
Origin: Mosel, Germany
Grapes: Riesling
Alcohol: 11.5%
This bottle is a classical expression of Melsheimer's Mullay-Hofberg vineyards. It is unmistakably a Mosel Riesling, fermented till dry with a substantial body. All of the grapes are hand-selected from plots from a single vineyard. Reiler Mullay-Hofburg is one of the most impressive vineyards in the middle Mosel, dating back to at least the 12th century. The orientation and soils of the vineyards lead to extremely aromatic grapes, contributing to the wine's notes of citrus and apricot. With the age on this bottle notes of petrol are starting to shine as well.
