MO comes from very old Mondeuse vines in Haute Savoie, given whole bunch maceration before ageing in a mix of old barrels and stoneware vessels. This vintage is a touch darker and fuller than previous years, packed with all the blood and spice you'd expect from Mondeuse, plus some lovely ripe brambly fruit that adds richness. On the palate, expect those characteristic dark berry flavours intertwined with earthy spice, all delivered with an elegance that shows Patrick and Justine's deft touch with this variety. It's got that forest floor complexity alongside the fruit, making it a wine that rewards both immediate drinking and contemplation.
