Named after the Permian geological period, this Chardonnay is what is known as a 'negocé' wine. This means Peter sources the organic grapes from a trusted grower in Pécsely rather than using his own estate fruit. These vines grow in sandy limestone rather than volcanic soil, giving the wine a different kind of energy.
After being pressed by hand, the wine spent eight months in old 500-litre barrels. It is a total crowd-pleaser that is designed for pure drinkability. You will find plenty of ripe apple and white blossom notes, but with a spicy, herbal twist that keeps you coming back for more. It is slightly creamy and salty but remains incredibly fresh and juicy. Like all of Peter’s wines, it is bottled without any added sulphur or filtering, making it a clean and very inviting drop.
