Malá Hora, translating as Little Hill, comes from one of Petr's newer sites and is a beautiful interpretation of Chardonnay that lets the chalky terroir shine through. Elegant on the nose with lovely minerality, the palate shows superb structure with a nice expansive character and a long citrus-led finish. It's beautifully straight and refined with impressive length – a little masterpiece that showcases everything good Chardonnay can be. The balance between drinkability and personality is spot-on, showing why Petr is one of the most exciting winemakers to watch in Central Europe. His wines consistently deliver high quality and expression year after year, and this Chardonnay is no exception. The chalky terroir really comes through both on the nose and palate, creating something that's got real depth and character whilst remaining incredibly approachable. This is Chardonnay done right – elegant, mineral, and utterly compelling.
