Solar Red is Petr's answer to the question, "What if red wine could be as refreshing as summer?" A new summery blend of Zweigelt and André (or sometimes Pinot Noir, depending on the vintage) that's made without maceration – whole grapes pressed straight off to keep things light, fruity, and pleasantly drinkable: low tannin, no heaviness, high juiciness. When Petr opened this in his cellar in Boleradice, he just said: "I wanted to make a red that would be refreshing – light, drinkable, no science. Just with an ice cube." Before the second sentence was finished, the bottle was gone. Light red in colour with a raspberry-creamy touch, soft texture, and fresh finish – full of summer berries, bright white and red strawberries with a very mineral presence on the palate. This is a red that's not afraid to be light, and it'll surprise you how much you like it. Chill it down properly and let it work – if any wine has a chance of becoming your summer red, it's this one. A wine for relaxation, not for thinking.
