Pierre Borel crafts this approachable Cabernet Franc from organically grown grapes in Bourgueil, France. Designed as an unpretentious, bistro-style red made for casual everyday drinking, the fruit is fully de-stemmed and undergoes a 10-day maceration. Following a low-intervention philosophy in the cellar, the wine is fermented and aged primarily in tanks to keep the focus entirely on fresh fruit, with just a single, thoughtful addition of sulphur after racking.
On the nose, it delivers classic Cabernet Franc character with distinct notes of charred green bell pepper, black cherry, and blackcurrant, backed by a touch of savoury herbs. The palate is light-bodied, brisk, and incredibly easy to drink, offering a fresh, lively mouthfeel and a clean finish. It is an authentic, straightforward bottle that is perfect for a relaxed dinner or a casual night in.
