Strekov 1075's Nigori is a unique, hazy wine that’s as captivating as it is delicious. The name “Nigori,” meaning “cloudy” in Japanese, perfectly describes the wine’s cloudy appearance and layered complexity. After being de-stemmed and pressed, the Welschriesling juice was transferred to 500-liter Zemplén oak barrels, where it spontaneously fermented and aged on its fine lees for 10 months, allowing the wine to develop rich, almost umami-like flavours. Bottled unfiltered, with the lees still intact and no added SO2, it offers a creamy texture with an enticing balance of intensive fruitiness, a sweet wood character from the oak, and a lift of bright acidity. This is a wine that beautifully reflects its terroir and is a true treat to share with friends. For the full experience, give the bottle a quick shake before enjoying to incorporate the lees and enhance the texture.
