Porta #8 by Strekov 1075 is a masterful orange wine that captures the essence of timeless moments, evoking memories of leisurely afternoons on your grandparent’s veranda. This aromatic beauty combines floral notes with dried apricot and a subtle sherry-like edge, creating a harmonious balance that lingers on the palate. A blend of Grüner, Welschriesling, Devin, and Aurelius, each grape is treated with its own unique process: Welschriesling undergoes a year of skin contact, while Devin is slightly botrytised and aged under flor after pressing. The wine is aged in a solera-like system dating back to 2019, allowing the different vintages to harmonize beautifully. Bottled unfined, unfiltered, and with no added SO2, it’s a true expression of creativity and craftsmanship. The result is an elegant, rich, and complex orange wine that is both unique and incredibly drinkable.
