The Strohmeiers refer to the thin layer of silicate stones that sparkle on top of the soil in all of their vineyards as "cat-silver." An ideal moniker for a wine that showcases the range of grapes and vineyards they use. Every single varietal found in and around the Strohmeier vineyards, including a few PiWi hybrids, is blended to create Cat-Silver. Red grapes (Souvignier gris), dark grapes (Zweigelt, Blauer Wildbacher, Cabernet Jura, Merlot, Rösler, Regent), and white grapes (Sauvignon blanc, Pinot blanc, Chardonnay, Bronner, Muscaris, Büten-Muskateller) all come toghether to make an incredible wine! A hazy fun co-ferment, Cat-Silver is fruity, with a distinct tannic structure and excellent liveliness!
