Hailing from the volcanic slopes of Somló hill, this Furmint is a masterclass in mineral power. It is nicknamed "Winter Wine" because it takes its time, resting for 15 months in barrels on its lees without being touched or stirred, before being bottled in January/February. With zero additions and no filtering, it is a pure expression of the basalt soils found right outside the cellar door.

It is a rich, full-bodied white that balances zingy lemon and pineapple with savoury notes of honey, nuts, and even salted caramel. It is salty, smoky, and built to last, so do not be afraid to keep a bottle in the cellar for a couple of years to let those deeper flavours truly develop.
