Forget what you think you know about German Riesling. This biodynamic beauty comes from 40-year-old vines clinging to the steep, slate-rich slopes of the Mosel. Sybille Kuntz focuses on quality over quantity, pruning the vines so heavily that each one produces just a single bottle of wine. This low-yield approach, combined with a wild "cover crop" in the vineyard, ensures the grapes are packed with concentrated flavour and mineral energy.

The 2023 vintage survived a rollercoaster season to deliver a wine that is crisp, expressive, and properly structured. In the cellar, things are kept low-intervention: the juice ferments slowly with its own indigenous yeasts in stainless steel and rests on the lees all winter for added texture. The result is a punchy, bone-dry white with a fine mineral backbone that’s far more exciting than your average supermarket bottle.
