Les Bambins is the result of Yann’s micro-négociant project, which he started to support passionate growers in Saint-Amour who are committed to sustainable farming. The grapes come from vineyards with shallow soils featuring layers of blue volcanic rock and schist. In the cellar, Yann keeps things simple and low-intervention, using a cold semi-carbonic maceration for 15 days. By avoiding added yeasts or sulphites, he lets the natural character of this specific terroir lead the way.
The wine itself is incredibly tender and bright, offering a juicy profile that is very easy to enjoy. You will find lovely notes of wild strawberry, redcurrant, and peony on the nose. While it feels light and luminous, there is a subtle, grainy texture on the palate that provides satisfying substance and length. It is a fantastic choice when served slightly chilled alongside a quiche, roasted veg, or a simple selection of mild cheeses.
